The Team

Co-Founder

Tim Whitney

Tim is a native of Raleigh, NC and has spent his life in the finance industry. He began his career with Wachovia Securities in 2003 before opening and serving as Chief Executive Officer of TradeWinds, a registered investment advisory firm. His understanding of the need for real-time data flow that was secure and accurate led him to start Zuul. He obtained his CFP® and has certifications in Family Wealth Advising and Family Business Advising from the FFI Global Education Network as well as the Blockchain and Digital Assets certification from DACFP. Tim graduated with a degree in International Business from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and studied at Nagoya University in Japan.

Mike Manganillo

Mike is an award-winning marketing leader who passionately merges analytics and creativity to drive revenue and sales growth for mid to large size corporations. Mike has worked on several technology start ups from the pre-seed phase to IPO. He has a passion for taking on complex problems and finding a solution through research, data, and drive. Hailing from an advertising background, he brings over two decades of experience working on Fortune 500 brands including Nationwide, Credit Suisse, Lenovo and Sherwin-Williams. A native New Yorker, Mike enjoys playing golf on NC’s breathtaking courses, spending time with his wife and their two boys and testing out new recipes to cook for them.

Benjamin Goroshnik

Ben is a third-year student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, majoring in Computer Science and Statistics with a minor in Business. Currently an Automated Risk Trading Development Intern at Morgan Stanley, he has previously founded Velocity Capital, a student-run private asset management firm. Ben holds multiple certifications including Bloomberg Market Concepts and Corporate Finance Fundamentals. He has been honored as a W!SE Quality of Life Institutional Research Finalist and is a National Honor Society Inductee. A native Russian speaker, Ben combines his passion for technology and finance, often spending his free time exploring the financial markets or dabbling in culinary experiments.
